Want to have some fun with your Corgi! Try Rally, AKC’s newest obedience sport. In Rally, dog and handler teams are timed while navigating a course of 10-20 numbered signs. The signs describe the exercises to be performed: sit-down, right turn, figure eight around food bowls, halt-down-walk around dog, etc. Handlers can talk to their dogs and give multiple commands and signals without penalty. Intending to provide a bridge from the Canine Good Citizen Test (CGC) to traditional obedience or agility competition, Rally is a sport that emphasizes teamwork, communication, and building a bond with your dog. Of course, most Corgis prefer to build a bond with the figure eight food bowls....
